Shawarma originates in the Middle East from the Ottoman Empire during the 19th Century. After being expelled from their host countries across the Middle East, Diasporic Jews migrating to Israel and brought with them their favorite Dishes, Sauces, and Toppings from home. Resulting in a unique fusion of flavors forming the backbone of modern Israeli Cuisine. By combining these sauces and toppings we get the Shawarma Laffa we all know and love.
